Old Town by Night V
This building is called "Södra Bankohuset". It was originally designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Elder, and stood finished in 1682. Bank of Sweden had been established only about fifteen years earlier, in 1668, thus making it the oldest central bank in the world. It was located here until 1905. Today and for the past seven years, the building is the main office for National Property Board Sweden.
As you probably did not notice, there is a small statue in front of the building. It portrays Evert Taube, a nationally famous troubadour, and was designed by Karl Göte Bejemark in 1985.
The things I would never know, had I not become interested in photography.
